CAT/3D- FID is an edge technology probe designed to dynamically identify the distribution of fluids, creating a 3D model
This type of sensor completes the RPAT string in orde to obtain greater accuracy in the interpretation results given that the direct measurement is included in the phase distribution models.
- Once single probe measures the three phases simultaneously.
- This sensor has twelve radial micro probes for greater accuracy.
- The readings are not affected by the test or by the salinity effect beacuse the probes are made of a ceramic material
- 3D quantification and visualization of the phases
- Data acquisition with memorized module
Identification of:
- Fluids that have similar densities
- Water, gas and oil intake (entry?)
- Cross-flow
- Phases in deviated and horizontal wells
To determine:
- Detailed flow regime
- Phase segregation
- Each micro probe takes 72 measurements/second enabling to secure high resolution.
- No measurement loss issues, gas bubbles do not affect its performance
- Designed to detect small flow changes in horizontal and strongly deviated wells.
Probes: 12 – radially distributed
Range: 0 – 100% - oil, water or gas
Resolution: 1%
Diameter: 1 11/16”
Maximum temperature: 350°F
Maximum pressure: 15.000 psi
This is how the process of Reservoir Characterization is delivered.
